Full Journal pdf2000-04-13 House Journal Page 3117 HB 368 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the April 12, 2000, calendar (page 3085), was read the third time: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 368(JUD) "An Act relating to release of persons before trial and before sentencing or service of sentence; relating to when service of sentence shall begin; relating to custodians of persons released, to security posted on behalf of persons released, and to the offense of violation of conditions of release; and amending Rule 41(f), Alaska Rules of Criminal Procedure." Representative Green moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 368(JUD) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Murkowski, Kott, and Kerttula: Page 5, line 6, following "security": Insert "related to a performance bond" Page 5, lines 11 - 13: Delete "appear before a court or judicial officer as required in an order by a court or judicial officer or violates a condition of release" Insert "abide by a condition upon which the bond was based" Representative Murkowski moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Croft objected. Representative Murkowski moved and asked unanimous consent to withdraw Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The Speaker stated that, without objection, CSHB 368(JUD) will be held in third reading to the April 14, 2000, calendar.
